Harlow   4-0   Bury St Edmunds
England Hockey U18 Plate

Harlow came into this second round plate fixture on the back of a first round bye, and a severe seeing to by Canterbury in the cup. This however, didn't damper what turned out to be a beautiful day with a dazzling performance. The home side took the pushback and started strong, swift passes being strung together between defence and midfield. It didn't take long for the chances to start coming and after two blundered short-corners Harlow took the lead, with Benn Hagger slotting home from close range.
From the re-start Bury took a dominating spell holding the ball and moving it around but with no final product. Harlow conceded a few short corners, but these were quickly swept away by the defence and the attacks re-commenced. This leading to the next goal, a quick break into the box and another short corner gained. This one powered home by Robert Chandler to give the home side a healthy looking lead. Half time approaching and Harlow had yet to kill the game but a strong first half.
Second half commencing, and Bury came straight out the firing blocks, a hail of attacks were kept at bay and Harlow began to mount their own pressure. Finally the match sealing third goal came. Another well-worked short corner was tucked away by Luke Krozska. The match seemingly over Harlow kept the pressure up and pressed for more goals, and late in the match were rewarded when after a crisp shot from Robert Chandler was saved, and Jordan Tovell was quick to slam the rebound into the top left hand corner.

Harlow now face Tunbridge Wells in the Third Round on 9th March.
